Who We Are

At Project New Hope Inc., we believe that no Service Member, Veteran, or military family should face life’s challenges alone. Our mission is to restore hope and empower military-connected individuals through compassionate care, free retreats, educational opportunities, and wellness programs—all offered in a confidential, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Founded in 2010 and officially established in January 2011 by William H. (Bill) Moore, M.A., a disabled U.S. Air Force Veteran, Project New Hope Inc. was created out of a deep understanding of the sacrifices made by those who serve and the lasting impact military service can have on the entire family. Our organization is built on the principle that healing extends beyond individuality encompasses spouses or partners, children, and caregivers, all of whom may carry the invisible wounds of military life.

We serve Service Members and Veterans of all eras and branches, as well as their families, from across the United States. Whether the need is emotional support, peer connection, holistic healing, or resource navigation, we help families address the challenges, fears, and stigmas they may encounter during or after military service.

Through our comprehensive network of partners, we can align and deliver tailored services that “wrap around” the whole family—strengthening resilience, fostering community, and promoting long-term well-being. We are especially honored to collaborate with organizations that support the families of Massachusetts Service Members who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Honors & Awards

Because of the generosity of many, our programs continue to expand.  Project New Hope has continued to grow and evolve, yet we remain focused on doing what we do best, which is to provide weekend retreats and wrap around services to Military Veterans and their families.  In addition to the weekend retreats, we have also added the following services:

  • Our baby pantries are fully stocked for Veterans and Military families in need at all our locations, Worcester and Westfield, MA
  • Our Operation Jeepers Christmas program helps provide gifts for Veterans and Military families during the holidays.
  • Our Backpack Brigade provides the necessary school supplies for Veteran and Military children.

Of the many accomplishments and awards we have received, we were most proud in 2013 to have sponsored the very first LBGTQ retreat in the United States, and it was a major success.  In 2019, we proudly received a Hidden Heroes Award from the Elizabeth Dole Foundation. Project New Hope was one of thirteen organizations nationwide who received funding for innovative and evidence-based programs that address the long-term needs of military caregivers, the spouses, parents, and loved ones caring for wounded, ill or injured service members and veterans at home.
