Bill Moore Receives the George Frost Award
2012 Massachusetts National Guard Military Family Readiness Volunteer Service Awards
This year’s George Frost Award is being presented to a veteran who has continued his commitment to Service members and Families after serving in the US Air Force.
He is a Disabled Veteran.
He has worked closely in his Community with the Lions Club, Elks, and Disabled American Veterans.
He dedicated much of his time to Operation Homefront, sitting on their Board of Directors and providing assistance to Service members and families through periods of deployment.
He founded and hosted the Route 9 Veterans Forum Cable TV program.
In December 2010 he initiated Project New Hope in Massachusetts
By providing weekend retreats to veterans and their families at no cost, Project New Hope strives to relieve the pressure that Veterans and Families may feel. Project New Hope is a unique and all-encompassing healing environment that promotes an atmosphere to talk, learn and grow as individuals and partners in life’s journey.
Project New Hope facilitates their weekends for Single and Married Veterans, Gold Star Families, All Male Veteran and All Female Veteran retreats which allow individuals to focus on their own unique veteran dynamics.
Project New Hope of Massachusetts has been working to expand their services and involve residents from all of New England and continues to create an environment of healing and camaraderie.
This gentleman has truly embodied the spirit of this award by continuing his Military service and demonstrates a lasting commitment to our Families and so it is our distinct pleasure to present this year’s George Frost Award to Bill Moore.
